Applesauce Quick Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tbs ground cinnamon
- 1 cup applesauce
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup skim milk
Directions:
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cinnamon.
- Stir in the applesauce, egg whites and milk.
- Pour into a nonstick loaf pan or one that is lined or greased.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Bake bread for 50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center of the bread comes out dry.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool. Cut into 10 slices.
