Cranberry Applesauce

Ingredients:
- 6 Apples, cored and cut into chunks
- 1 cup raw cranberries
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 tbs brown sugar firmly packed
- pinch of ground nutmeg
Directions:
- Combine apples, cranberries, apple cider, and cinnamon in a large heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Stirring Several times.
- Remove the cinnamon stick. Transfer the apple-cranberry mixture to a blender or food processor and puree.
- Stir sugar and nutmeg into puree.
