These rolls are so easy and delicious too!
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
- Combine 3/4 cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- In a saucepan heat milk, water and butter until very warm, about 130 F.
- Add milk mixture to flour mixture and beat for 2 minutes at medium speed with an electric mixer. Scrape the sides of the bowl to ensure mixture is evenly mixed.
- Stir in the remaining flour until a soft ball of dough is formed.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
- Cover the dough and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide dough into 12 equal pieces and form into balls.
- Place on a greased pan. Cover and let rise in a warm draft free place until dough is doubled in size. About 30 minutes. (A good place to allow dough to rise in a drafty home is in the oven with temperature preheated to ‘warm’ then turned off before you place the dough inside)
- Bake in 375 degree F oven for 20 minutes or until bread is golden brown.
