Easy Whole Wheat Raisin Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup raisins
- 2 cups nonfat buttermilk
- 1/2 cup molasses
Directions:
- Combine whole wheat flour, white flour, baking soda, salt, and raisins.
- Stir in the buttermilk and molasses into the dry ingredients. Mix well.
- Pour into a nonstick bread pan or line baking pan with a liner. Let stand for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Bake bread for 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in the center of the bread comes out dry.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool. Cut into 10 slices.
