iEnjoy a Homemade potato snack – Tater Tots! Delicious dipped in ketchup, BBQ sauce, ranch sauce, honey mustard sauce or any other sauce you want to try! These famous Idahoan snacks are a lot easier to make than you think!

Ingredients:

  • 5 large baking potatoes
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 3 tablespoons finely minced onions
  • 1 tablespoon chives
  • Desired amount of Salt and pepper
  • Cooking oil for frying

Directions:

  1. Grate potatoes into a large bowl.
  2. Stir in flour, onion, chives, salt and pepper
  3. Fill heavy pan 1/4 inch of cooking oil. Heat oil in heavy pan.
  4. Form potato mixture into small balls and drop in oil. Fry until slightly golden.
  5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. In a 400 degree F oven, Bake on a greased baking sheet.

If you are planning on freezing the tater tots freeze after frying and before baking. Remove tots from freezer and bake without thawing.
